NO MAN’S WOMAN: THE MOTHER OF FEMME FATALS ( a film review)

Hello reader,

Today, we were assigned to write a film review collaboratively. This writing needs to use a specific style. There were some given structures to talk about the film such as how to talk about the directors and the movie scenes. Moreover, there was a example review provided by our lecturer. This  was a great example of a writing task which I can adopt in my future classes. This task motivates students to chose a movie and critically think about it with peers. This makes it unforgettable and entertaining at the same time. We chose a movie from 60s Hollywood.

I know a great song sharing the same name and I was curious whether they were connected. It was in my watch-list so I asked my friend to choose this one. It is called No Man’s Woman. It was a great example of noir genre and watching and discussing with a pair was really enjoyable.

We used Google Docs to callobrative writing. This tool enables users to write, comment and organise the writing. As a second task we were supposed to make a peer reflection to our writings. This tool also makes users to benefit by the commenting section. Moreover, we could choose who can write or make a comment. This is another great use. However, we had some problems to make peer reflection because of group numbers. I am really sad about this issue because I was very motivated about the task when we were writing the review. However, we were not able to do that. As a future teacher, I really want to assign my students to make them have a great time with their peers by also critically think and use some writing strategies.
